The total amount of industrial goods produced in Turkmenistan’s eastern province of Lebap in January-October of this year exceeded 18.1 billion manats. The enterprises of the oil-gas complex produced 71.8% of the total products, the country’s official media reported on Thursday.
In the first ten months of this year, electricity production increased by 64.5%, cotton fabric production by 41.5%, cotton yarn production by 25.4%, cement production by 14.5%.
The volume of industrial products sent to consumers amounted to over 5.86 billion, while the rest, 73.9% of the products, was shipped abroad.
According to the data, in January-October last year, more than 3.17 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity were produced in the province. A significant amount of these energy was produced by the state power plants Lebap and Watan.
During the period, the Lebap production department of the Türkmengaz (Turkmen Gas) State Concern produced around 100 thousand tons of liquefied gas and exported more than 97.2 thousand tons it.
The products of private enterprises located in Lebap are mainly exported to Uzbekistan, Turkey, Belarus, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Russia and China.
