Lebap Province: 2023 Industrial Output Tops 24.2 Billion Manats

Industrial output in Lebap province during the year 2023 reached a value of 24 billion 229.8 million manats.

State-owned enterprises significantly contributed, accounting for 6 billion 572.9 million manats of the total industrial production, as reported by the Türkmen Gündogary newspaper on Thursday.

The volume of products dispatched to consumers from industrial enterprises, including product waste at the beginning of the year, amounted to 6 billion 362 million manats in 2023. Notably, 71.4 percent of these goods were exported abroad.

State-owned power plants operating in Lebap province achieved a substantial production of 4 billion 415.7 million kilowatt-hours of electricity last year, marking a significant 12.8 percent increase compared to the previous year.

In the eastern region of Turkmenistan, various products were manufactured in 2023, including cotton fabrics valued at 56.3 million manats, 108.5 tons of raw silk, 334 tons of sausages, and 2.9 thousand tons of confectionery products.
