The head coach of Dynamo from Makhachkala, Kurban Berdyev, shared his impressions of the first match as a team coach. His wards lost to Torpedo from Moscow with a score of 0:2 in the first round of the First League of the Russian Football Championship.
Berdyev noted that he was pleased with the game, but not with the result. He admitted that the team conceded two goals too easily and did not convert their chances. He also explained why he only made substitutions after the 70th minute.
The coach expressed confidence that with the current roster it is possible to resolve the issue of entering the RPL. He also stated that he did not risk his reputation by taking over the team a week before the start.
The Turkmen specialist noted that he was motivated by the strategic direction of the development of football in Dagestan and that he wanted to participate in this project.
Berdyev added that he would like to strengthen the position of the central striker and the attack group. He also admitted that the main role in his arrival at Dynamo was played by Gajy Gajyev.
In the next match, Berdyev's wards will play on the road with the Tula Arsenal on July 23.
