This evening was especially noisy and fun in the capital's shopping center Arkach: here, with a large number of participants, events were held as part of the Korean culture festival.
In order to attract the attention of young people, Korean pop was loudly played, a thematic photo zone worked on the basement floor, and master classes on creating mother-of-pearl souvenirs were organized.
Traditional Korean mother-of-pearl applied art has been known since ancient times. Fragments of mother-of-pearl are cut from the inner layer of sea mollusc shells, which are then used to make decorations for lacquered items. Participants in mother-of-pearl master classes were asked to decorate lacquered keychains and mirrors with mother-of-pearl stickers.
Very young enthusiasts, youth and adults took part in the master classes.
Of course, the youth crowded around the photo zone: after all, many people want to leave beautiful photographs as a memento of the festival!
The festive atmosphere was also created by colorful photographs of the most beautiful tourist places in Korea located around the perimeter.
Tomorrow, the Korean Culture Festival in Ashgabat will continue with a gala concert of Korean opera artists accompanied by the State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan. The concert will take place at the Magtymguly Musical and Drama Theater at 19:00. Admission to the concert is by invitation only.
