The concert with participation of Israeli musicians percussionist Hen Cimbalista and violinist Janna Handelman, well-known to Ashgabat music lovers, performed wth accompaniment of the State Symphonic Orchestra, was held in the Mukams Palace of the State Cultural Centre.
Janna Handelman, who Hen is friend with from the childhood, graduated violin class in music academy of Tel-Aviv. Hen Cimbalista, the conqueror of African xylophone, is a graduate of three music academies: Tel-Aviv, Brookly and Copenhagen, remained loyal to his dream to play percussions. The friends in life and confederates in art often perform together.
Taking into account that public cycling race, dedicated to 50-day countdown until the beginning of V Asian Games, was held on the day before the performance, I have asked what is the sports in the life of musician?
- I was keen on water polo when I was a boy and now me and my spouse go in for yoga and cycling. When I have a time, I enjoy few kilometres cycling races…
The concert in Mukams Palace was opened with Carmen by Pablo de Sarasate in arrangement of Levitas, which skilfully combines the classics and modernity.Hen Cimbalista performed sol on marimba (type of xylophone).
Listening to beautiful and vivid music, I remembered the words of Hen Cimbalista: “I love what I am doing and never perform what I don’t like that is why the audience likes to go to my concerts”.
Indeed, every composition performed from the stage under conduct of Hen Cimbalista, rised the admiration of the public and long-lasting applauses.Compositions “The Spring” by Antonio Vivaldi, “The Concert for Violin A Minor” by Bach, “Cimba” by Levitas, “The Seasons” and “Tango” by Astor Piazzolla, “Various tempos” by Ney Rosauro and other were performed during the concert.
The lovers of classical music called excellent musicians for an encore several times.
