Kazakhstan will spend about 160 million USD on the road to the border with Turkmenistan

As earlier reported, construction of a bridge across the Garabogaz Strait has started in Turkmenistan, which will become part of the transport route connecting Turkmenistan with neighboring Kazakhstan.

At the same time, the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan explained that the length of the section across the territory of the republic will be 156 km.

“The route passes along the highway of republican significance Zhetybay Zhanaozen Fetisovo the border of Turkmenistan,” writes lsm.kz with reference to the MIIR.

According to representatives of the Kazakhstani department, some sections have already been put on alert. Also, another 156 km of the section is to be reconstructed, the estimated cost of which is 78 billion tenge (about 160 million USD).

It is noted that the start of construction of the highway through the territory of Kazakhstan is provided for as the main projects are completed.
