Kazakhstan will reduce the time of border crossing with neighboring countries to 30 minutes

Kazakhstan will carry out a large-scale modernization of checkpoints on the border with Turkmenistan, China and Uzbekistan to develop transit potential and increase trade turnover, reports “Kazinform”.

Modernization includes the construction of new checkpoints to replace outdated infrastructure. Thus, the “Alakol” automobile station is being built in a new location with an expansion of the territory. In June 2023, the “Dostyk-Zheleznodorozhny” inspection and inspection complex was put into operation.

As noted by the State Revenue Committee of Kazakhstan, the update will increase capacity by 8 times and reduce border crossing time to 30 minutes by automating the movement of goods and transport.
