Actor Joe Pesci, who played one of the burglars in Chris Columbus’ cult comedy “Home Alone”, turned 80 years old.Besides the participation in the film about the adventures of Kevin forgotten by the parents in his home, Joe Pesci also took part in creation of such world-famous films as “Once upon a Time in America” by Sergio Leone, “Lethal Weapon” by Richard Donner, Nice Guys” by Martin Scorsese.

In his youth, the future actor, born in Newark in a family of Italian immigrants, was fond of music, took part in the children's entertainment TV show “Children's Finest Hour”, worked as a hairdresser.
After his first unsuccessful role in a low-budget film that failed at the box office, he decided not to try to become an actor anymore and went into the restaurant business.
But he was noticed by Robert De Niro and Martin Scorsese and decided to invite their fellow countryman to star in the movie “Raging Bull” based on the memoirs of the world boxing champion among professionals Jake La Motta. The main role in this movie brough Pesci the fame and become a real start of his actor career.
In recent years, Joe Pesci has not been filming, because he decided to devote all his time to musical creativity.
