Japanese companies are actively operating in the fuel and energy complex (FEC) of Turkmenistan, Trend reports referring to the speech of the Japanese ambassador Katsumata Takahiko at the Oguz Khan University of Engineering Technologies published in the media.

In addition, they contribute to the implementation of construction projects for gas turbines and thermal power plants (Sumitomo Corp.) in order to supply electricity to Afghanistan. "These projects will bring great power in the socio-economic development of Turkmenistan, in particular, by diversifying industry, acquiring foreign currency, stimulating imports and alternative industries, creating jobs.

It also contributes to the stabilization of neighboring countries and regions," the diplomat said.

It was noted that these projects are supported by technologies created in Japan.

These technologies will change not only the people’s lives, but also the functions, structures of government, society, economy, and other things. Science and basic research are the sources of these technologies," said Katsumata.
