January-March 2024: Turkmen Tomato Exports Up by 3%

In January-March of the current year, the volume of tomato exports grown in Turkmenistan increased by 3 percent compared to the same period last year.

Over the three months of this year, the volume of tomatoes exported to Kazakhstan increased by 20 percent, as reported by the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan on Friday.

According to the report, Turkmen tomatoes are mainly imported by the Russian Federation, the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Kyrgyz Republic.

In 2023, domestic exporters sold 128,000 tons of tomatoes, which is 3.4 times more than in 2020.

Meanwhile, 57 percent of the total tomato export volume went to Russia and 28 percent to Kazakhstan.
