A native of Ashgabat, Ivan Danilyants will move to “Kairat” as an assistant of head coach Kurban Berdyev. It is reported by Sports.ru with reference to a Kazakh journalist.
According to the source, Danilyants has already flown to Almaty.
68 years old Danilyants worked for a long time with Berdyev at “Rostov” and “Rubin”. Since 2020, she has held the position of sports director at the Moldova Football Federation.
As a reminder, Kurban Berdyev was assisted in working with Russian teams by a whole group of Turkmen coaches - defenders Ivan Danilyants, Yakub Urazsakhatov and goalkeeper Vitaly Kafanov, known for playing for the Ashgabat “Stroitel” (“Kolkhozchi”).
With Kazan “Rubin”, Kurban Berdyev and his coaching staff won the Russian championships in 2008 and 2009, twice the Russian Super Cup (2010, 2012), twice took part in the Champion League group stage, managed to reach the quarterfinals of the Europa League with the team, and also became winner of the Russian Cup in the 2011/12 season.
And in the 2015/16 season, Kurban Berdyev and his compatriots sensationally led the modest “Rostov” to silver in the Russian Football Championship.
Ivan Danilyants was born in Ashgabat in 1953 - a Soviet football player, an Austrian and Moldovan coach. In 1974 he graduated from the Faculty of Physical Education of the Turkmen State University. During his playing career he was a defender, since 1971 he played for the Ashgabat “Stroitel”.
In 1981-1983 he received a diploma from the Higher School of Coaches at the State Center for Sports and Physical Culture in Moscow. In 1993, he received confirmation of the UEFA “A” coach license. Coached teams at various levels in Austria, Moldova and Russia.
