Famous Italian opera singer Maria Pia Piscitelli is visiting Ashgabat. She came especially to participate in the VERDI concert dedicated to the 210th anniversary of the outstanding Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi.
During her visit, the singer gave two master classes. One of them took place yesterday at the Turkmen National Conservatory named after Maya Kuliyeva. Here she worked with students and teachers of the vocal class.
Today, another master class was held for teachers and students who came from Mary and Lebap velayats.
Gozel Annahanova, teacher of the music school in the city of Mary, who was present at the master class, shared:

Maria Pia Piscitelli gave her recommendations on how to sing so that the voice sounds clearer, louder and more melodious.

Opera singer Maria Pia Piscitelli was born in the city of Giovinazzo, where she studied singing.She won prizes in vocal competitions in Parma, Ferrara, in the competition named after Maria Callas and others.
Her operatic repertoire includes leading roles in Norma (Bellini), Medea (Cherubini), Mary Stuart and Lucrezia Borgia (Donizetti) and many others.She performs at La Scala in Milan, the Vienna State Opera and opera houses in Bologna, Buenos Aires, Rome, Barcelona, Venice, Graz, Berlin, Palermo, Naples, Amsterdam, Paris and other cities.
