Italian Air Cargo IAS Announces Partnership With Turkmenistan Airlines

Air Cargo IAS, an Italian air freight carrier, is expanding its operations in Asia through its partnership with Turkmenistan Airlines, the flag carrier of Turkmenistan, the transport and logistics portal Trasporto Europa reported on Wednesday.

Turkmenistan Airlines operates direct flights from Milan Malpensa Airport to Ashgabat International Airport using Airbus A330-200 aircraft.

The Air Cargo IAS General Manager Cristina Coderoni said this is a significant step for Air Cargo IAS, both in terms of business and accessing the markets of the Asia-Pacific region.

Coderoni added that the Ashgabat International Airport plays a crucial role in the transit network as it is located at the intersection of air, rail, and road routes connecting Asia and Europe.

Air Cargo IAS states that this partnership will contribute to the activation of a new international cargo service from Italy and open up opportunities for cooperation in trade-economic relations with countries in the region.

Air Cargo IAS has been operating for over thirty years and holds a leading position in cargo aviation. It provides transportation services for cargo on various international and intercontinental routes. The company is headquartered in Rome Fiumicino Airport, with offices in Malpensa and Linate airports.
