The issue of organizing a visit to Turkmenistan for the leadership of the World Intellectual Property Organization was discussed during a meeting between the Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the UN Office in Geneva, Vepa Hajiyev, and the Director General of WIPO, Daren Tang.
The parties discussed the current state of cooperation between Turkmenistan and WIPO, and also identified the most promising areas for the further development of bilateral partnership. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports this.
In particular, opportunities were outlined for intensifying interaction in training specialists from Turkmenistan involved in the field of intellectual property, in implementing joint projects in this area, as well as providing technical assistance within the framework of the process of Turkmenistan’s accession to the WTO.
