On December 14, Ashgabat hosted the International Forum Time for Good Deeds. Volunteer Fair dedicated to the International Volunteer Day, which united the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
The forum became a large-scale platform for exchanging experience and strengthening cooperation between representatives of public organizations of Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Russia. The hybrid format of the event allowed to expand the geography of participation and attract even more volunteers to discuss topical issues.
The forum participants shared their successes in implementing social projects, discussed new trends in the volunteer sphere and outlined plans for the future. Particular attention was paid to the role of youth in the development of the volunteer movement. Young people demonstrated their active civic position and willingness to contribute to the development of the CIS countries.
Associations of volunteer centers and networks of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Russia took an active part in the forum, which allowed them to discuss the possibilities of joint projects and expand the geography of volunteer initiatives.
The important role of volunteers in solving social problems, developing communities and strengthening civil society was emphasized.
The forum announced plans to create a unified network of volunteers in Turkmenistan, which will allow volunteers to unite their efforts to implement large-scale projects. International Volunteer Day became not only a holiday, but also an important event that set the vector for the development of the volunteer movement in Turkmenistan.
This Volunteer Forum was held to mark the declaration of 2024 as the Year of Volunteering in the Commonwealth of Independent States.
This underlines the collective commitment of the association's members to strengthening unity and cooperation across borders. This important declaration reflects the growing importance of volunteering in uniting different cultures and nations.
The forum was organized with the support of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Turkmenistan in cooperation with the Public Organization "Yenme".
