Inter defeated Milan and won the Italian football title ahead of schedule

In the 33rd round of the Italian football championship, Inter defeated their principal rival Milan with a score of 2:1. This triumph allowed the Nerazzurri to secure the championship title ahead of schedule this season.

Francesco Acerbi (18th minute) and Marcus Thuram (49th minute) scored goals for the winners. Fikayo Tomori (80) scored for the losers.

After this victory, Inter scored 86 points and, five rounds before the finish, became unattainable for their pursuers, winning the 20th championship title in their history. Milanese head coach Simone Inzaghi became the Italian champion for the first time as a team coach.
