A round table was held between the Institute of International Relations (IRI) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Italian Diplomatic Academy, which brought together the faculty, diplomats and experts of the two states in video mode.
Our institute is developing large-scale international cooperation.In accordance with the signed documents with 25 universities and diplomatic academies of 23 countries of the world, work is underway to further develop bilateral cooperation in order to improve the qualifications and training of specialists, said IRI Vice-Rector for Research Begench Myatliev.
It is noteworthy that among them was Cooperation agreement with the Italian diplomatic academy, signed on November 6 last year.
The online meeting became a platform for the parties to discuss the state and prospects of Turkmen-Italian relations, as well as the importance of developing education, science and culture.
Also, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Academy of the Diplomatic Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine organized a round table dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the country’s neutral status.
IRI Rector Jumamyrat Gurbangeldiev noted that in recent years, fruitful work has been carried out between the two countries in the field of science and education, cooperation between the academic circles of Turkmenistan and Ukraine is intensifying.
The Ukrainian and Turkmen peoples are linked by fraternal friendship, which is based on the principles of mutual respect.A close relationship with neutral Turkmenistan is of particular importance to us.
We have a lot in common both at the state level and in the international arena, said Director of the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Gennady Nadolenko.
During the online meeting, the participants noted that in the context of globalization, the importance of diplomacy in international relations is increasing these are both classical tasks and ensuring national interests, the implementation of foreign policy directions, new functions and forms of activity of diplomats.
