Inbound and outbound passengers required to present a COVID-19 test certificate at Ashgabat airport (updated)

Inbound and outbound passengers arriving in and departing from Ashgabat on domestic flights operated by “Turkmenistan Airlines” are now required to present a negative COVID-19 test apart from tickets and documents.

The website Turkmenportal reports that COVID-19 testing certificates can be obtained in outpatient clinics located at a place of residence.

The media outlet does not specify whether such a certificate is required for flights between Turkmenistan’s regions.

The editorial board of “Chronicles of Turkmenistan” has failed to receive additional information at indicated telephone numbers.

Let us recall that the passenger train and intercity bus service has been suspended in Turkmenistan.

Update. Correspondents of “Chronicles of Turkmenistan” learned that a coronavirus test certificate is required to be presented to be able to fly to all destinations, not only to or from the capital.
