1. On the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of independence, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov pardoned 1180 convicts. The head of state instructed the heads of law enforcement agencies to carry out the necessary work so that those pardoned would be released from prison and soon find themselves with their families.
2. 1301 people received Turkmenistan citizenship.The head of state signed the corresponding Decree at an extended meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers with the participation of members of the State Security Council.
Among those granted citizenship are representatives of 32 nationalities.In addition, 265 applications from citizens of 25 nationalities from 13 states were submitted for a residence permit in Turkmenistan.
3.The grand opening of nine-story residential buildings in the “Parahat-7” residential area was held in Ashgabat.Of the ten newly built houses, 6 are designed for 54 apartments, and the remaining 4 - for 36.
Representatives of the hyakimliks of Ashgabat and city etraps, the media, honorary elders, residents and guests of the capital of Turkmenistan took part in the celebration.Among the holders of keys to new apartments there are also mothers with many children.
4.President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov was congratulated on his birthday by Oleg Kononenko, a native of Turkmenistan, commander of the cosmonaut corps of the State Corporation for Space Activities “Roscosmos”, who is currently on the International Space Station.
In his video message, Kononenko wished the head of state good health, great family happiness, prosperity, and new successes in important and responsible activities!
5.The President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the President of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan, the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and all the friendly people of the country on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia.
6.Turkmenistan is preparing to hold an international scientific conference “The Heritage of Universal Significance of the Outstanding Philosopher and Doctor of the East Abu Ali Ibn Sina”, organized by the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry together with the Ministry of Education and the Academy of Sciences.
The forum, dedicated to the Day of Healthcare and Medical Industry Workers, is expected to take place on October 11 in a hybrid format.

7.Russian director Dmitry Dyachenko begins work on a sequel to the film “Cheburashka”. “Cheburashka 2” is expected to be released on January 1, 2026.The same team as in the first film will take part in the work on the film.

8.Culinary experts from the USA and Japan have baked the world's largest cake in the form of a giant donut.The donut cake, weighing more than 100 kilograms and the size of a newborn baby elephant, is listed in the Guinness World Records.
It took about 8 hours to make.First, the chefs baked the cakes, coated them with cream and stacked them on top of each other, then trimmed them along the edges and in the center, giving the cake the shape of a donut with a hole in the middle, after which they poured pink icing to make the cake as similar as possible to a donut.
On top of the icing, the cake is decorated with colored “sprinkles” that are as huge as the donut itself.

9.The day before the opening of the XIX Summer Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, a solemn ceremony of welcoming the Turkmen sports delegation and raising the National Flag of Turkmenistan was held at the Flag Plaza Alley, located in the international zone of the Athletes’ Village.

10.The junior table tennis championship, organized by the Table Tennis Federation of Turkmenistan, is taking place in Ashgabat.About 60 athletes from different regions participate in the tournament.
Competitions are held in two age categories: 10-12 years old and 9 years old and younger.The purpose of the tournament is to identify young talents, develop table tennis in the country, patriotic education of youth, as well as prepare for participation in international competitions.
11. “Ahal's” rival in the AFC Champions League achieved a crushing victory in the Saudi Arabian championship. “Al Feiha” beat “Al Riyadh” 3:1 away. Let us remind that in the match of the 1st round of the group stage of the Champions League, AFC “Ahal” met with “Al-Feiha” and won with a score of 1:0.
