In Turkmenistan, graduates of secondary schools will be delayed conscription into the army

Graduates of secondary schools of Turkmenistan will be postponed conscription into the army.This was stated today by Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Milli Gengesh Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during a meeting with the participation of young people dedicated to priority issues of state youth policy, further improvement of national legislation in this area, the information program “Vatan” of Turkmen television reported.

In accordance with the words of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, amendments will be introduced to the Article 20 of the Law of Turkmenistan “On State Youth Policy”, precisely an additional paragraph regarding school graduates.

18-year-old graduates will receive a right for deferment until the beginning of the autumn calling. Thereby, young people who successfully pass the exams, will have an opportunity to enroll in a university or a college and continue their studies.
