In 2021, it is planned to launch a total of 30 large industrial and social facilities in Turkmenistan, five of which have already been put into operation in January.
These include the gas compressor station at the Malay field in Lebap, the Akina-Andhoy railway, the Imamnazar-Akina and Serhetabat-Turgundi fiber-optic lines, the power line from Kerki to the Turkmen-Afghan border.
30 large objects refer to the 30 anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan. Among the nearest premiers, in April, architectural constructions located in the south of Ashgabat: a new government tribune, International Congress Center, the Arkadag Hotel, the buildings of the Turkmenbashi and Senagat banks, etc. President Berdimuhamedov regularly inspected the progress of their construction personally.
In May, in the north of the capital, it is scheduled to open the Karakum Hotel with a complex of a business center, a new park zone with underground passages located next to the hotel.
In June, the opening ceremony of a new monument to Mahtumkuli Fragi in Ashgabat and commissioning of a Turkmen yurt-shaped huge concert arenas for 3000 seats in the cities of Dashoguz and Turkmenabat, as well as an airport in Kerki and other facilities are set to be held.
The same arena for public celebration events will be put into operation in July in the city of Balkanabat. Same month, the Ashgabat-Tejen section of the Ashgabat-Turkmenabat autobahn, which is being built by members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, is expected to be launched.
This summer, two large textile complexes in the regions of Kaahka and Babadayhan will improve the infrastructure of the Ahal province. While in the Chardjev region, Lebap province, a gas turbine power plant with a capacity of 432 MW will be commissioned.
Another cottage complex will be opened in the Avaza resort zone.Among the anniversary facilities, there are large residential areas with apartment buildings in the cities of Ashgabat and Dashoguz.
By the end of the year, it is also planned to commission the first stage of the new administrative center of the Ahal province, four multiprofile and specialized medical facilities in the cities of Turkmenbashi and Dashoguz.
Such a long list of architectural premieres are expressive fact to prove the level of large-scale work carried out in the country to support the social and economic development. It also confirms the continued high level of construction and investment activity of the state.
Every year, the major architectural premieres are timed to the celebrations of Independence Day and other important public holidays in Turkmenistan.During an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Friday, Berdimuhamedov said that over $38 billion has been invested in the construction industry of Turkmenistan.
In 2020, 45 large social and industrial objects worth over $8 billion were run in the country.
