For 9 months of this year, Turkmenistan has increased the export of its products to Ukraine by 62.8 per cent compared to the same period last year. Such data are provided by the State Committee on Statistics of the country.
At the beginning of the year in the first months of the spread of coronavirus infection across the world supplies to Ukraine decreased, while in July deliveries began to grow steadily.
Mineral fuels, oil and products of its distillation (48.5%) are the main share of the export of Turkmenistan. Fertilizers (12.1%), clothing and accessories (9.9%), and other textile products (6.9%) are also of significant share.
In April 2020, representatives of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and Ukraine held a meeting, within the framework of which agreements were reached on expanding cooperation in the economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
Cooperation between the two countries has demonstrated that reasonable agreements can ensure a stable growth in trade turnover even amid the coronavirus pandemic.
