Ilima Huseynova from Turkmenistan made it to the semi-finals of the Asian Junior Tennis Championship (U-14)

Turkmen tennis player Ilima Huseynova has reached the semi-finals of the Asian Junior Tennis Championship (U-14), which is being held in Phnom Penh (Cambodia), the Turkmenportal correspondent was told at the country's Tennis Federation.

The Asian Junior Tennis Championship (U-14) is a major international tournament in which 24 leading tennis players from Asia and Oceania take part.

In the quarterfinals of the tournament, Ilima Huseynova defeated Indian tennis player Diya Ramesh with a score of 7:6, 1:6, 6:4. For reaching the finals of the tournament, the representative of Turkmenistan will play with the fourth seeded at the tournament, Thai tennis player Tarita Hongsek.

Let us remind you that in the second-round match, Huseynova beat the second seeded Emily Kim from Uzbekistan with a score of 6:7, 7:6, 6:2, and in the first round she defeated the Indian tennis player Suryanshi Shehawat in two sets.

Currently, Ilima Huseynova is ranked 13th in the Asian ITFJuniors ranking among juniors under 14 years old. She plays tennis at the Ashgabat Academy under the guidance of Mirali Hasanov.
