Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev visited the SPECA Countries Exhibition: Regional Cooperation for Sustainable Development in Baku on Wednesday, where he had the opportunity to explore products of state enterprises and private companies of Turkmenistan in the field of textiles, carpets and construction.
The event is held within the framework of SPECA Week - UN Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asia, the press service of the Azerbaijani President reports.
The Baku Expo Centre is hosting an exhibition spanning an area of 4,000 square meters. The exhibition features a wide range of product samples from state enterprises and private companies representing Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
The exhibition aims to highlight the economic potential of member countries, discuss opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships and strengthen regional economic cooperation between member states.
The exhibition presented economic development, industry, agriculture, digital development and innovation, transport infrastructure and transit, energy and tourism.
Established in 1998, SPECA promotes cooperation among member states and supports their integration into the global economy. The participating states are Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Afghanistan.
