IIR Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan intensifies cooperation with foreign universities

The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan is expanding multifaceted cooperation in order to support career guidance work and develop contacts with leading scientific and educational centers of the world, writes the “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper.

This will improve the professional training of future highly qualified specialists.

Recently, an online meeting was held between representatives of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and a number of domestic universities with Dr. Marcello Fantoni, Vice President for Global Education at Kent State University in the USA.

In addition, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, with the support of UN experts, held a series of classes on the topic “Sustainable Development Goals” for teachers of the country’s universities.

And at an online meeting with representatives of Kazan Federal University, prospects for cooperation in the scientific and educational sphere were discussed.

Turkmenistan is consistently implementing a humanitarian foreign policy strategy. Fruitful work is underway to strengthen peace and security in Central Asia. For students from countries in the region, the Institute announced an essay competition on the role of international humanitarian law in maintaining peace on the planet.
