National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, met with South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol on Tuesday in Ashgabat.
As reported by Yonhap news agency, two leaders discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation.
President Yoon expressed satisfaction with the significant progress in bilateral relations and highlighted the importance of the Framework Agreement on the fourth sulfur-cleaning facility at the Galkynysh gas field and the Cooperation Agreement on the second phase of normalizing operations at the Gyyanly Polymer Plant.
Subsequently, the parties reviewed the successful implementation of these agreements and discussed further steps for cooperation following the completion of the projects.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Yoon Suk Yeol also engaged in dialogue on bilateral cooperation in healthcare and cultural exchanges.
After the meeting, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov accompanied Yoon Suk Yeol to the Ashgabat International Airport, from where the South Korean President departed for Kazakhstan for the second leg of his trip.
