Hong Kong Airport Celebrates Birth of Two Panda Cubs

A large-scale installation dedicated to the birth of two pandas at the local zoo took place at the Hong Kong airport. 2 500 panda sculptures made of rubber were installed on the runway, Mail.ru reports with reference to CNN.

This event became part of the PANDA GO! FEST festival. As part of the festival, the installation will move around various locations in the city, introducing residents and guests of Hong Kong to the world of pandas.

The panda figurines are exact copies of the recently born cubs. The babies themselves are not yet available to visitors, but they will be presented to the general public in February. The cubs' mother, Yin Yin, is the oldest panda mother in the world.
