Hemra Amannazarov, new head of the Delegation of Turkmenistan to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) has presented his credentials to. Ms. Helga Maria Schmid, the Secretary General of this organization. It was reported today by the official website of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Austria.
After presenting credentials there was a fruitful discussion on cooperation between Turkmenistan and OSCE aimed at promoting international initiatives of Turkmenistan and importance of the Organization’s activities in arms control, economy, ecology, connectivity, promotion of human rights, freedom of the press, and free and fair elections.
In 2022, Turkmenistan and the OSCE marks the 30th Anniversary of cooperation.On July 8, 1992, Turkmenistan signed the Helsinki Final Act, the founding document of the OSCE, became a State party to the Conference on Security and Co-operation in Europe (CSCE), which three years later was transformed into the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).
We remind that in July 2022 by the Order of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Hemra Amannazarov was appointed as the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Austria.In the corresponding Order he was assigned a diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
In August, Hemra Amannazarov was simultaneously appointed Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan at the UN Headquarters in Vienna, Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to UNIDO, head of the delegation of Turkmenistan to the OSCE, representative to the CTBTO and Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the IAEA.
