National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in the opening of a new mosque in the Ak Bugday etrap of Ahal velayat, TDH reports.
After the opening ceremony, the head of the highest body of people's power of Turkmenistan gave sadaka-agzachar in the new mosque.
The opening of the mosque symbolizes the commitment of the Turkmen people to good traditions passed on from generation to generation. The structure of the complex includes a special building for sadaqah and rituals, as well as other structures. High-quality materials were used in the construction of the mosque, and the surrounding area was landscaped.
Valuable materials such as marble and granite are used in the external and internal decoration. A special place in the decor is occupied by inscriptions depicting suras from the Holy Quran.
On behalf of the participants in the celebration, the Mufti expressed deep gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov for their concern for preserving the spiritual and moral values of the people.
During the events marking the opening of the new mosque, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, proposed calling it the “Seyit Jemaletdin Mosque” as a sign of respect for the historical heritage of the region.
The honorary elders who took part in sadaka-agzachar approved and supported the proposal of the National Leader of the Turkmen people.
