Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Attend Summit of Organization of Turkic States

National Leader of Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov will attend the summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) on March 16 in Türkiye’s capital Ankara, the Kyrgyz news agency Kabar reported on Wednesday.

The topic of the extraordinary meeting of the Heads of States of the OTS is " Disaster-Emergency Management and Humanitarian Assistance".

The parties will discuss natural and man-made disasters, as well as measures of collective response.

The Summit will be attended by the heads of the member states of the Organization. The Prime Minister of Hungary and the Halk Maslahaty Chairman of Turkmenistan will represent the OTS observer-countries.

The Organization of Turkic States is an interstate bloc created to expand cooperation among Turkic-speaking countries in politics, economics, science, education, transport and tourism.

The members of the OTS are Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey and Uzbekistan. Hungary, Turkmenistan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus are represented as observer members of the organization.
