The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited Abu Dhabi and met with the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Thursday.
During the meeting held at the UAE Presidential Palace, the leaders congratulated each other on the New Year and wished happiness and prosperity to the nations of the two countries.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conveyed to the President of the UAE the greetings of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and best wishes of prosperity. UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed gratitude for the kind words and sent his best wishes to the President of Turkmenistan.
The leaders exchanged views on friendly relations between Turkmenistan and the UAE and economic and investment cooperation, including renewable energy, food security, infrastructure development and other vital sectors. These areas are among the crucial spheres for both countries to further promote sustainable development and progress, the UAE media reports.
The sides appreciated the exclusivity and development of relations between the two countries and reaffirmed their commitment to expand cooperation in various fields to strengthen these mutually beneficial relations further.
UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan emphasised the significant contribution of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to developing relations between the two countries.
At the end of the meeting, the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov invited UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to pay a visit to Turkmenistan at a time of his convenience.
