The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on Tuesday in Ashgabat met with Cathrina Claas-Muehlhaeuser, Chairman of CLAAS, Chairman of the German Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations, Mark von Pentz, President of the Agriculture Division of John Deere and Martin Bouygues, Chairman of Bouygues, the official Turkmen media reports.
Meeting with the CLAAS Chairman Cathrina Claas-Muehlhaeuser
During the talks, Cathrina Claas-Muehlhaeuser stated that CLAAS is proud of its long-term partnership with Turkmenistan and is invariably interested in building up established productive business ties.
The effectiveness of the partnership between Turkmenistan and the German Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations in establishing bilateral business contacts was stated during the meeting. At the same time, the sides confirmed intention of both countries to further develop mutually beneficial cooperation, including in the investment sphere.
Meeting with John Deere executive
The meeting discussed prospects for further bilateral cooperation. The talks also highlighted the long-term nature of established business contacts of Turkmenistan with John Deere.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people emphasized that agriculture is one of the most important sectors of the national economy, and ensuring food security is directly related to the well-being of the people.
Meeting with the Bouygues Chairman
During the talks, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the joint projects with Bouygues are of great importance for the successful implementation of the national urban planning program, strengthening the construction and industrial potential of Turkmenistan.
The meeting also exchanged views on the activities of the French company, and considered the possibilities of its participation in the implementation of new joint projects, taking into account the priorities of the socio-economic development of Turkmenistan.
