The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, met with the First Deputy Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China Ding Xuexiang during his working visit to Beijing, the official Turkmen media reported on Wednesday.
Chairman Halk Maslakhaty arrived in China on a working visit to participate in the third high-level conference, "One Belt, One Road", on October 17, 2023.
During the negotiated business lunch, the two sides stressed the similarity or coherence of their views on current matters on the world agenda, which contributes to the strengthening of trustful dialogue in the interests of both countries.
As reported, the priority areas of bilateral cooperation were emphasized, encompassing various sectors such as trade and economics, fuel and energy, transportation and communication, industry, agriculture, and other relevant fields. These areas have been identified as key focuses for cooperation between the two parties, indicating a commitment to strengthening ties and fostering mutually beneficial partnerships in multiple sectors.
The two sides also discussed developing partnership ties between the two countries' parliaments and enhancing cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
