Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Instructs Medical Polypropylene, Salt Production in Turkmenistan

National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, instructed during a working meeting in Arkadag on Saturday to establish the production of medical polypropylene at the Gyyanly Polymer Plant of the State Concern Türkmenhimiýa as part of repair work.

This directive includes ensuring compliance with international standards and taking effective measures to obtain medical salt meeting global standards from the country's salt deposits and enterprises within the concern.

According to Turkmenistan's official media, Berdimuhamedov emphasized the need to make efforts in adopting standards for the raw materials used and obtaining international certificates for them.

The National Leader of the Turkmen People reviewed projects prepared in the center of Arkadag.Deryageldi Orazov, Chairman of the State Committee for the Construction of Arkadag City under the President of Turkmenistan, reported on the variety of medical products and medical devices planned for production at industrial facilities belonging to the medical cluster of the new city, as well as the local raw materials intended for use in their production.

As reported, the presented projects include varieties of medical preparations, cotton wool meeting high ecological standards, widely used disposable non-woven material masks, gowns, bedding, shoe covers, and various other accessories necessary for hospitals.

The presentation also included information on the annual required volume of medical equipment and medications provided to the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, including healthcare institutions in the city of Arkadag.

Berdimuhamedov noted that the products to be manufactured at the production complex planned for the second phase of the new city's construction must meet high international standards and modern ecological requirements.

The Chairman of the State Committee for the Construction of Arkadag City under the President of Turkmenistan also reported on the construction of industrial facilities planned within the second phase of the new city's development and presented a list of local construction companies involved.
