National Leader of Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on Saturday paid a visit to the Arkadag city under construction in Ahal province, during which he got acquainted with projects of the facilities to be built as part of the second stage of construction of the city, the official Turkmen media reports.
The Halk Maslahaty Chairman gave instructions to Deryageldi Orazov, Chairman of the State Committee for Construction of the Ahal Province Center under the President of Turkmenistan, and Shamuhammet Durdyliyev, Mayor of Arkadag city, on maintaining constant control over the work carried out in the new city and proper landscaping of the areas adjacent to the buildings.
Following the inspection of the projects, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made notes and a number of corrections.The submitted projects included the drawings of highways leading to Arkadag city, projects of the auto terminal complex of the city and the railway station.
The officials also briefed on preparations for the opening ceremony of buildings of the first stage of construction of the city.
The Halk Maslahaty Chairman emphasized the importance of comprehensive preparations for the opening ceremony of facilities and laying the foundation of the second stage of Arkadag city, stressing the necessity of entrusting the construction of buildings of the second stage to domestic construction companies that have distinguished themselves during the implementation of the city-planning program and development of the first stage of the new city.
During the visit, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also discussed the progress of preparations for the spring planting season of tree saplings.
