Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Gives Sadaqah on New Mosque’s Construction in Ahal

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Chairman of Halk Maslakhaty chamber of Turkmen bicameral parliament Milli Gengesh, at the expense of the royalties for his books gave a festive sadaqah on Friday at the site of the future mosque in the new administrative center of Ahal province that is under construction, the country’s official media reports.

At the site, the Halk Maslakhaty Chairman conversed with Turkmenistan's Mufti and the Imam of Ahal Province, saying that all conditions are being created in the country for people to perform ritual rites in accordance with state policy priorities. He added that this festive sadaqah coincides with the birthday of Prophet Muhammad.

"May all the prayers recited come true! May happiness and prosperity always reign in the sacred Turkmen land," Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stated.

Then, the Mufti of Turkmenistan read Tebarek prayer, blessing the meal. After the meal, the participants of the festive sadaqah prayed to the Almighty for Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to successfully continue all the noble deeds started by the Halk Maslakhaty Chairman for the sake of the future of the country, unity and cohesion of the people.

In recent years, new mosques have been erected in the capital as well as in the administrative centers of Mary, Dashoguz, Lebap and Balkan provinces, as well as in some cities and districts.
