The Turkmen delegation led by the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov performed Friday prayers at the Al-Haram Mosque in Mecca during his visit to Saudi Arabia, the official Turkmen media reported.
The National Leader of the Turkmen People, the Turkmen delegation and local pilgrims at the Friday prayer wished the President of Turkmenistan good health and long life, peace and prosperity to the Turkmen people.
Then, the National Leader of the Turkmen people gave sadaqah on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. The Turkmen delegation as well as pilgrims making the hajj to the holy Kaaba took part in the event.
Turkmen national dishes were served after the recitation of the prayer.At the end of the meal, participants recited ayats and offered prayers for the Almighty's acceptance of the sadaqah offered by the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty at the holy place, further successes in the ongoing affairs of the President of Turkmenistan, strengthening of friendly relations between Turkmenistan and Saudi Arabia, the well-being of people and peace.
Turkmenistan's official media reported Thursday that Turkmen President Berdimuhamedov signed a resolution under which a delegation led by Chairman Halk Maslahaty will visit Mecca to perform the hajj on June 29-30.
