In Beijing, a meeting was held between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, head of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the First Deputy Prime Minister of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, a member of the Standing Committee of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China Ding Xuexiang, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
At the bilateral meeting, current issues on the international agenda were raised and the closeness of the positions of the two countries was emphasized. The parties noted the importance of developing dialogue between countries, due to the similarity of views on many global problems.
Priority areas of trade, economic and energy cooperation were highlighted, as well as expanding partnerships in the areas of industry, agriculture and transport infrastructure.
The interlocutors discussed the prospects for strengthening ties between interparliamentary structures and developing cultural exchanges between Turkmenistan and China.
