Growth in Turkmenistan’s Agro-Industrial Complex Reaches 104.9 Percent

The growth rate of production in the agro-industrial complex compared to the same period last year was 104.9 percent, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Annageldi Yazmyradov reported to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov during the regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Saturday.

According to the report, the growth rate for the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection was 105 percent, the State Committee for Water Management - 104.1 percent, and the Türkmen atlary State Association - 101.6 percent.

The growth rate of vegetable production was 127.7 percent, potatoes - 104 percent, fruit - 103.7 percent, and wheat flour - 100.9 percent. The plan for the assimilation of investments was fulfilled by 283.3 percent.

President Berdimuhamedov highlighted the key role of the agricultural sector in the structure of the state economy and instructed Annageldi Yazmyradov to continue targeted measures to further increase the efficiency of the industry.

The meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers also reviewed the results of work of the national economy sectors for the five months of 2023.
