Recycling of waste for secondary use is actively developing in Turkmenistan. For example, the Altyn gaýa company, engaged in the recycling of paper, buys waste paper (newspapers, magazines, school notebooks, boxes) for further processing.
Paper is not a toxic product, but its repeated use allows to save trees from felling and reduce the level of pollution of nature and the urban environment.
Student at the International University of Humanitarian Sciences and Development Leyli Dovyyeva helps in waste paper collection, an activist with the IUHS&D students and with the permission of the University administration puts on site of her institution special tanks, where anybody can throw used and unwanted paper notebooks, and all kinds of paper products.
After filling the container, Leyli sends its contents for recycling.
The university is a place where a huge amount of paper is used, and instead of throwing out a significant part, it is much better to give them a “second life”.
Reducing the consumption of raw materials has a positive impact on the environment.Of course, this is just a drop in the boundless ocean, as they say, “What is any ocean but a lot of drops?”
For example, in order to maintain the environment in Belarus, a ban on sale and use of plastics in public catering places came into force in 2021.The ban implies a gradual transition so that the relevant industries and businesses have time to prepare.
But throughout the republic, it will still be possible to use and sell disposable tableware made from cardboard and other environmentally friendly materials.
Belarus is not the only state that reduces the use of plastic. Most European countries have long imposed a ban on the production of plastic bags.In Italy, there were even actions to clean up from garbage the coast on the beaches of Sardinia.
Those who wanted to help in this matter were given buckets for collecting waste, which were sent for recycling. For the executed work, vacationers were treated to ice cream.
Even in Italy, plastic tubes for drinks were replaced with pasta. This is not only environmentally friendly, but also creative.
The above-mentioned Altyn gaýa company accepts waste paper from the population.
