GIZ has handed over modern equipment to the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan

The German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) has handed over technical equipment to specialists from the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan to improve environmental, climate and hydrometeorological activities.

According to Turkmenistan: Golden Age, the transferred equipment includes ultrabooks with docking stations, multifunctional printers and all-in-ones that will allow monitoring and hydrometeorological modeling in the catchment areas of the Amu Darya basin.

The ministry emphasized that modern equipment is a tool for solving problems related to transboundary hydrology.

Earlier, specialists from the ministry's hydrometeorology service were trained in the methodology of assessing climate factors and risks of natural disasters in Central Asia.
