German Lufthansa to cancel Frankfurt-Ashgabat flight

The flight Frankfurt-Ashgabat-Frankfurt operated by Lufthansa is scheduled to be closed due to “technical reasons”, an airline representative told “Chronicles of Turkmenistan”.

The last flight from Frankfurt to Ashgabat will be performed on 25 October and the return flight on 26 October, 2019.

Let us recall that at the moment EASA suspended Turkmenistan Airlines flights to and from the EU because of violations of the requirements set forth by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

Turkmenistan Airlines jointly with Lufthansa Consulting is implementing the comprehensive action plan to bring their standards in line with the EASA requirements.

The final audit of “Turkmenistan Airlines” is expected to be held in August.

Apart from Lufthansa, other foreign airlines such as China Southern Airlines, FlyDubai, Belavia, S7 and Turkish Airlines operate flights to the Ashgabat airport.
