Georgian Geosky Airlines Operates First Cargo Flight to Turkmenabat

The Georgian company Geosky Airlines plane operated its first landing at Turkmenabat International Airport on Friday, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Georgia reported.

At present, Geosky Airlines performs cargo flights on the routes Tbilisi (Georgia) - Zhengzhou (China) - Turkmenabat (Turkmenistan) - Zaragoza (Spain) - Tbilisi (Georgia).

According to the report, introducing a cargo air service connecting Turkmenistan and Georgia contributes to cooperation in the Caucasus, Asia, and Europe regions. Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Georgia, Dovletmyrat Seyitmammedov, conducted a regular online meeting with the management of Georgian Geosky Airlines.

During the meeting, it was emphasised that Turkmenabat International Airport, positioned at the crossroads of air, rail, and European roads linking Asia and Europe, will serve as a transit point. The airport's convenient location connects Georgia with various cities in Asia and Europe.

Founded in 2017, Geo Sky Airlines has been authorised by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) to fly to 28 EASA member countries and 4 European Free Trade Association countries. The company also holds a CCAR-129 certificate from China, allowing it to operate unlimited flights in the PRC.
