“Gazprom” CEO Alexei Miller will visit Turkmenistan in the near future

Turkmenistan and Russia cooperate in the energy sector, there are specific agreements on the continuation of some contracts. The head of “Gazprom” will visit Turkmenistan in the near future.

Russian President Vladimir Putin stated this at a meeting with journalists on the sidelines of the Sixth Caspian Summit in Ashgabat, reports TASS.

The Russian leader also noted that the work at the summit after a long “COVID vacation” turned out to be very productive.

Putin also added that the heads of the Caspian states agreed that they would choose priority areas, distribute competencies among themselves and in accordance with these competencies, take steps to build broad cooperation in the main areas, primarily in industry and high technology.

Let us remind that “Gazprom” signed a contract for the purchase of natural gas from the State Concern “Turkmengas” for a period of five years in July 2019.
