As it was reported earlier, today President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with the head of “Gazprom” Alexey Miller in Ashgabat.
The Sides discussed extended cooperation in the sphere of purchasing Turkmen gas, writes TASS with the reference to the news program “Watan” of the Turkmen television.
“During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of procurement of Turkmen gas by the Russian company under the current contract and expansion of cooperation in this area for the long term,” the message reads.
Following the meeting, Alexey Miller said that “Gazprom” PJSC always fulfills its obligations on time and is a reliable partner of Turkmenistan.
We should add that the valid contract between sides was concluded in 2019. In accordance with it “Gazprom” annually purchases in Turkmenistan nearly 5.5 milliard cubic meters of natural gas. In 2021 this indication was equal to nearly 10 million cubic meters.
