Gas exports from Turkmenistan to China reached 2,4 billion USD in the first quarter of 2024

In the first quarter of 2024, China imported Turkmen natural gas worth 2,4 billion USD, reports Nebit-Gaz with reference to the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China.

According to Chinese customs data, the leading gas exporters to China also included Australia (3,6 billion USD), Qatar (3,1 billion USD) and Malaysia (1,15 billion USD).

At present time, Turkmen gas is exported to the People's Republic of China via three lines of the gas pipeline, which passes through Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. The total design capacity of the pipeline is 55 billion cubic meters per year.
