GameScent analyzes game sounds in real time and generates corresponding flavors, making gaming immersion even deeper. This is reported by daily.afisha.ru with reference to IGN.

The device Is compatible with PCs, consoles and virtual reality headsets. Connects via HDMI or 3.5mm audio jack. The set includes 6 cartridges with scents: shot, explosion, racing, storm, forest and clean air.

In the future, the developers plan to add new flavors: “Sports Arena”, “Blood” and “Freshly Cut Grass”.

GameScent can be purchased at Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, and GameStop with prices ranging from $149.99 to $179.99.

According to the manufacturer, Smell-O-Vision (“vision through smells”) technology was introduced in the 1950s, but has not yet become widespread. Until now, this technology has only been used in a few American movie theaters, where it adds smells to the action on screen.
