with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan prepared musical gift for Ashgabat citizens, the concert of outstanding pianists Maxim Zekini and David Bismut. Both musicians are the graduates of Paris National Conservatory and are in the top ten best modern French pianists.
The concert was held in Magtumguly National Music and Drama Theatre. Maxim Zekini is well known by Turkmen piano art connoisseurs. He performed for the audience of the capital last year and left such bright impressions that he was expected with impatience.
- I have discovered beautiful hospitable Ashgabat, Turkmenistan citizens who love classic music in the end of the last year and have decided to come here again, - Maxim said in the conversation.
My impressions were such sincere that David Bismut wanted to come and meet personally this beautiful white-marble city and its cordial people.I think that David is not the one musician in France who wanted to visit your beautiful country after my stories.
The concert was opened by Prelude and Nocturne for left hand, opus 9 by Alexander Skryabin performed by Maxim Zekini. The melody resembling fantastic aspiration was played in the hall. The author used to believe in transforming power of the music what was reflected in his works including in the Nocturne performed by French pianist.
Romantic Caprise by Pier Sankan that had great success of Turkmen public at last year performance of Maxim Zekini was also incuded in the programme. Bright emotional composition with original tonal colours have been accepted by the storm of applauses.
French pianists reproduced figurative character of the music of Nikolai Rimskiy-Korsakov by their performance skills in oriental fairy tale “Passages from Shaherezada”, having enlivened fairy world with special lyrical warmth. Maxim Zekini and David Bismut performed this work four-handed.
The Allegro Appacionatto by Camille Saint-Saëns, the Moonlight by Claude Debussy, the Prayers by Charles-Valentin Alkan were also played at the concert.The concert ended up with the great surprise for the audience.
Turkmen singer Bahar Durdiyeva performed the composition of Nury Halmamedov “The Flight of Cranes” and the song from the repertory of Édith Piaf “Life in Pink Colour” accompanied by the duet.
Owing to performance skills of Turkmen French trio, the compositions organically merged into musical canvas of the concert, having filled it with harmony of national colours and eclectic performance style.
