The world art market is preparing for a historic event: for the first time, a painting created by a humanoid robot will be presented at the prestigious Sotheby's auction. The work, called “God of Artificial Intelligence”, is a portrait of the outstanding British mathematician Alan Turing, known for his contribution to cryptography during World War II, “MIR 24” reports.
The author of the unique work is the robot artist Ai-Da, named after Ada Lovelace, a pioneer in the field of programming. This technologically advanced humanoid, created in the image of a woman, is equipped with cameras instead of eyes and bionic prosthetic hands to create art works.
The auction, where this unusual work of art will be presented, is scheduled for October 31. Experts estimate the two-meter canvas in the range of 130 to 196 thousand dollars.
