Football referees from Turkmenistan held a series of international matches at training camps in the UAE

Referees from Turkmenistan are conducting training camps in the UAE in preparation for the new season of the 2024 Major League Football. According to the Football Federation, on February 20, referees officiated at several friendly matches involving foreign teams.

In particular, Resul Mamedov worked at the game between the leaders of the Russian Premier League “Zenit” - “Lokomotiv” (1:1). He was assisted by assistants: Palvan Palvanov and Babanazar Haknazarov.

The team led by Akmurat Kurbanov (assistants Shageldi Hydyrov and Hursant Abdiyazov) officiated the match between the Russian “Spartak” and the Kyrgyz “Abdysh-Ata”, which ended in a victory for the Muscovites with a score of 4:0.

On the same day, Arslan Goshshanov refereed the game of the “Gulf United” team from the UAE and the youth team of the Russian “Lokomotiv”. He was helped by Yusup Jumamuradov and Nariman Garajayev. The meeting ended with a crushing victory for “Lokomotiv” - 11:1.

According to the source, on February 21, Turkmen referees are scheduled to officiate at three more international matches.

Earlier it was reported that a group of Turkmen referees went to training camps in the UAE ahead of the new season of the national championship. During the training, they will have the opportunity to improve their qualifications and practical skills by officiating at friendly matches of foreign teams.

The training program includes physical training, theoretical classes and practical refereeing. All this is of great importance for improving the skills of Turkmen referees and increasing their level of readiness for the new season.
